Kay is lifetime resident of Morgantown & grew up in a large Lebanese family that was raised to work hard, help others, and support their community.  His parents were involved in an 85-year family business, while volunteering in activities and events that affected their 7 children. Characteristics that they strive to carry forward.  For more than 40 years, Kay has been serving my local & state communities as a volunteer & through the real estate industry. 

He graduated from St. Francis School, West Virginia University, the Realtors’ Institute, in addition to education through the Society of Real Estate Appraisers, Appraisal Institute, John Wesley College, Commercial Investment Real Estate Council (CCIM), along with continuing education through the WV Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

Licensed in real estate since 1983, his early years in the industry were in residential & commercial real estate appraising. Since then, he has earned the ABR, Green & GRI professional designations, Homes of Distinction & Hanna Luxury Certification, as well as a CCIM candidate.  As a multi-million-dollar producer, Kay has won several national awards for being in the top 5% of leading real estate professionals in North America and recognized for being in the top 1% nationally, as well as Howard Hanna’s Champions Club.

In addition to being an agent in residential & commercial real estate, he serves as the Director of the Commercial Division for Howard Hanna Premier Properties. Since 2007, Kay has received 22 national appointments to leadership positions with the National Association of Realtors (NAR). These included Chair of the Commercial Research Advisory Board in 2009 & 2016, Vice-Chair in 2008 & 2015, the 2017 Commercial Connection Magazine Advisory Board, as well as serving on the Research Committee and the Commercial Committee for NAR.  At the State level he chaired the technology & commercial committees for the West Virginia Association of Realtors in addition to serving numerous charity and community organizations and fundraisers such as the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center (5+yrs), WVU Children's Hospital, Mon General Hospital, March of Dimes, Jim Dunn Run (11+yrs), Teaming-To-Win (15yrs), St. Francis Memorial Golf (24+yrs), Union Rescue Mission, Covenant Youth Director (7yrs), Promise Keepers Task Force (11yrs), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (11yrs), Vision 2000 (7yrs), along with other committees and economic development events.
